Senior Credit Risk Analyst:

 

Description:

Analyze and Monitor consumer credit quality and evaluate origination and portfolio data for trends and potential opportunities for improvement, utilizing SAS, SQL and MS office.

 

Responsibilities:

Enable the business to maximize profitability, mitigate default rate & take calculated risks. Re-engineer key analytic processes: revise existing underwriting Credit Risk guidelines, monitor and analyze judgmental review rules, develop P&L forecast methodology for loan origination and loan performance, conduct risk-reward trade off analysis, perform retro analysis to include additional data elements in Credit Risk Policies, develop pre screen rules for mass marketing campaigns, review competitive intelligence and make business recommendations.

 

Ideal candidate will have extensive mortgage background and be knowledgeable in SAS and SQL programming.  They will have familiarity with large-scale databases, data models, and similar architecture.

 

Requirements:

?  Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics/ Mathematics/ Engineering /Finance is a plus

?  Mortgage industry experience is a must

?  Experience in SAS, SQL and MS Office is a plus

?  Superior quantitative and analytical capabilities and data management skills

?  Must have the ability to find creative solutions, make decisions based on partial information and use data to make decision.

?  Ability to manage multiple projects to ensure business goals are met.

?  Strong collaboration, team work and influence skills.
