Seeking a Senior Internal Auditor 

 Walla Walla Corporate Headquarters

 

POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Auditor will review assigned operational areas for evidence of fraud, deficiencies in controls, unacceptable performance or noncompliance with established policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations. He/she will also review the Bank Holding Company and subsidiary operations for compliance with policies and procedures. He/she will maintain documentation and updated internal controls information for compliance with FDIC regulatory and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

1. Requires a degree in business administration, accounting, related area or equivalent in employment experience.

2. At least three years experience in a financial institution, internal auditing, or related ability.

3. Above-average analytical, mathematical, human relations and communication skills.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

1. Proficiency in application of internal auditing theory, standards, procedures and techniques.

2. Proficiency in accounting principles and techniques.

3. Good verbal and written communication skills.

4. Good understanding of human relations and the ability to maintain satisfactory relationships with auditees.

5. Excellent written and oral skills.

6. Ability to work well as a team and independently.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Stand 10-20% of workday.

2. Sit 80-90% of workday.

3. Up to 30% of workload will be offsite.

4. Occasionally lift 25 pounds.
