Senior International Tax Analyst- MMC Tax- Hoboken, NJ

 Our growing Tax Department is seeking a dedicated professional with solid accounting and tax technical skills, initiative, and at least three years of total tax experience including at least one year of international experience with a major accounting firm.  We are looking for a candidate with potential to develop into a consummate tax professional and leader in our recently-centralized tax department, with a start-up like environment that is upgrading its technical base and re-engineering operations.  Our casual and friendly atmosphere with reasonable work/life balance offers opportunities for professional development through periodic rotation across different positions Position Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax accrual, Fas 109 international workpapers, and effective tax rate analysis. Preparation of  Forms 5471, 8865, 8858 and related workpapers for US owned foreign entities. Research tax issues for tax planning and compliance reporting. Liaison with Business groups including Accounting, Treasury, and Legal to obtain and analyze necessary tax information. Identify and implement tax planning opportunities, process efficiencies, and quality improvements. Advise foreign business units regarding foreign tax related issues, policies, and procedures. Monitor current and proposed, US and foreign, tax law changes to determine worldwide impact. Knowledgeable as to global business operations (legal structure, business lines, etc.) to ensure business related tax issues are identified.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA and/or advanced degree in Taxation. 2 - 5 years of total tax experience including 1- 3 years international experience with a major accounting firm. Knowledge of tax software applications such as, Excel, CorpTax, Tax Technologies, and online tax research services. Experienced researching international tax issues (Subpart F, foreign tax credits, etc.). Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
