Senior Investment Specialist

Job Description: Primary Purpose of the Position: The Senior Investment Specialist provides daily supervision and coaching to Investment Specialists and completes special projects and reports while fulfilling all duties and sales expectations of an Investment Specialist in order to ensure that associates receive appropriate direction and guidance and that department realizes sales goals.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Responds to escalated issues from customers and answers product, policy, procedure and systems questions from associates in their group in order to provide existing and prospective customers with appropriate information and guidance and to develop associates in their roles.

2. In responding to inbound calls from prospective customers on all TRP products and services, including small business retirement plans, Variable Annuity, and 529 products, the investment specialist independently and proactively utilizes a consultative sales approach in order to move customers to action of investing with TRP. On every call, the Investment Specialist must quickly and accurately:
*identify and assess the customer's stated and unstated needs
*analyze the customer's portfolio to determine historic investment diversification, preferences, results, tolerance for risk, etc
*assess the customer's investment experience and knowledge, preferences and action orientation, and investment goals
*walk through various ?what if? investment scenarios and potential impact
*close the sale and move customer to action
-all during one ?live? interaction on the phone with a customer, while simultaneously overcoming objections, cross-selling additional products, and leveraging benefits of particular product/service that are most relevant to that individual investor.

3. Coordinates joint monitoring sessions and monitors associate performance through phone calls pulled using NICE recording software in order to identify development areas for each associate. Provides monitoring and coaching feedback to associates on inbound/outbound sales calls either in written or verbal form and provides feedback to Supervisor for specific areas of coaching focus for associates in order to improve sales conversations these associates are having with customers.

4. Designs and delivers training content on specific sales techniques or on certain products to ensure all associates can have well-informed guidance conversations with prospective customers.

5. Participates on special projects as needed in order to meet department goals.

6. Audits associate calls as related to current incentives, contests, and recognition programs to ensure TRP standards/brand are met.

7. Schedules all associate activities through staffing software in order to ensure department leverages all available resources.

Qualifications:
*Series 7, 66/65, and 63 preferred
*Ability to sell TRP products and services and demonstrate our conversation model
*In depth knowledge of products, services, policies and TRP desktop applications
*Ability to motivate Investment Specialists (sales associates)
*College degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent and a minimum of two years related work experience required
