Senior Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:


The project manager will play a key role in defining and executing eBusiness strategy and solutions to support internal clients, the Non-Proprietary Retail & Sub Advisory product distribution channels of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. He/She will partner with Sales, Marketing, Technology and Operations professionals to identify, manage, and deliver strategic eBusiness projects.

 

Responsibilities include:

?  Interact closely with sales and marketing partners to understand business processes and identify eBusiness solutions to the opportunities and challenges of each channel. He/She will aid in formulating strategy and vision and then, translate and execute business requirements

?  Coordinate the delivery of eBusiness Solutions ? managing projects from concept to completion; and provide ongoing support and training of the applications

?  Understand, support and further develop online assets / tools to generate maximum impact on product distribution

?  Work closely with the eBusiness Channel Manager to develop new ideas and concepts, and to constantly improve the efforts of the team as well as the process and service levels of Americas eBusiness

?  Monitor industry and competition trends and generate ideas that will impact the distribution objectives of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers

?  Interact with various sales teams to understand needs of end users and target audiences

?  Manage external vendor relationships to support existing and new web and related technology needs

?  Partner with eBusiness team members, IT, Legal, Operations, and other groups on everyday processes to help meet the clients? needs

?  Act as liaison to channel distribution teamsQualifications:


?  BA/BS is required.

?  Candidate will demonstrate proven project management skills as well as financial services experience; 5+ years preferred. Mutual fund, Managed Account, Institutional asset management, or other asset management experience is also preferred.

?  Strong understanding of current Internet Marketing and eBusiness practices.

?  Solid communication skills, including presentation, verbal and written.

?  Ability to grasp complex systems and focus on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Experience in developing detailed written business requirements.

?  Successful candidates will be self?motivated, goal oriented and able to effectively operate in a team-oriented and collaborative environment and efficiently manage their time.
