Senior Research Analyst/Project Manager

 

Fuld and Company (www.fuld.com), the leading Competitive Intelligence Consulting Firm headquartered in Cambridge, MA, seeks a high energy, self-motivated Senior Research Analyst/Project Manager to join its growing Financial Services Practice.

 

This full-time position, which requires working in our Cambridge headquarters, will be split roughly 50-50 between primary research and report writing.  In addition to strong telephone interviewing skills, the candidate must also possess the ability to synthesize significant quantities of published information, and be proficient in PowerPoint, in order to prepare client deliverables. 

 

Role and Responsibilities:

 Designs research strategy and possible approaches for data gathering;Conducts in-depth, qualitative interviews with sources from a wide variety of functional areas and management levels;  Gathers data on competitors, including product offerings, pricing strategies, sales tactics, and marketing and distribution strategies.  Prepares project proposals and/or project deliverables, with limited supervision, and presents findings to clients.

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor's degree minimum;Financial services experience, with insurance industry expertise preferred  Proven primary and secondary research skills; Ability to multi-task, including conducting research, managing projects and client relationships, and preparing deliverables for several projects simultaneously;  Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills, including ability to build rapport with clients as well as other team members; Superior analytical skills, including ability to piece together data from multiple sources into a coherent picture; Superior organizational, oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint; High level of productivity to meet deadline challenges; Ability to problem-solve creatively;Experience in competitive intelligence.
