Senior Vice President Risk - Global Growth Markets (EFS)

CITY: Stamford STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Risk management position reporting to the chief risk manager Global Growth Markets.
* Responsible for leading teams and performing analysis, structuring, underwriting, closing and funding of financial transactions for GE EFS Global Growth countries in Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.Specific duties include:
* Leading deal teams in due diligence;
* Conducting financial analysis, including developing assumptions and modeling projected results;
* Identifying key risks and mitigants;
* Preparing credit requests, including company and industry analysis;* Managing deal approval process;
* Presenting and defending analyses in front of senior management;
* Coordination with internal staff functions, including compliance, environmental, insurance, technical, legal;* Review and negotiation of all legal documentation;
* Oversight of closing, funding and deal handoff processes;
* Mentoring and leading less experienced team members.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* 8+ years financial/ credit experience, including 5+ years of direct underwriting/ structuring/ execution and risk management experience;
* 3+ years of international transaction experience, including the assessment and mitigation of macroeconomic, regional, political and country-specific risk;
* Experience with project finance, debt, equity, partnership structures, and other financial products;
* Transaction oriented; ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal approvers;
* Strong deal structuring and negotiation skills;
* Experience evaluating relevant legal documentation;
* Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
* Team player with strong leadership and organizational skills;
* Undergraduate degree in business, economics or similar field.

Desired:
* Self-starter with knowledge of international financial markets and energy industry.
* Credit training and energy (power, oil & gas) industry experience/ knowledge.
* International experience, training and language skills.
* MBA or MA in a related field.
