Skip Tracer

Tempus Resorts International has an immediate need for an experienced skip tracer.  This position is for a self-starter who employs creativity, determination, motivation, and a drive to succeed.  Candidates will be an integral part of the financial services team who are professionals that are essential to the success of the company.  The company offers a competitive compensation  and comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, paid vacation time, and 401 (k) for full time employees.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

 

Responsible for the timely research and resolution of inaccurate or missing critical data related to the contact information of the Company?s delinquent accounts. Responsible for the timely update of necessary information and dissemination to financial services personnel on accounts submitted for research.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 Maintains up to date documentation on skip trace and collection efforts. Ascertains locations of owners through the use of the Internet, credit bureau reports, loan applications, previous collector comments, and all other resources available. Ensures all skip trace efforts are performed in a timely manner.  Communicates and interacts with third-party agencies, peer collectors, and management to maximize skip trace efforts. Responsible for maintaining adequate review and follow-up system.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

 Must have a thorough knowledge of collection related activities, skip tracing, truth-in-lending requirements, and bankruptcy. One to two years of detailed skip tracing experience. One to two years of collection experience. Has a high school diploma or GED and a good understanding of basic math, spelling, reading, letter writing principles, computer skill and spreadsheets. Must communicate effectively and professionally on telephone, in person and in writing. Must tolerate stressful situations and manage multiple tasks while maintaining priorities. Prefer candidate that is Bi-lingual (Spanish and English). (Preferred but not required) Must be able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and creativity while meeting strict production goals and deadlines. Must be able to maintain a professional manner while dealing with diverse people and situations.
