Sourcing Specialist - Indirect

 

TD Ameritrade is looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist level Associate to work in our Omaha, NE or Jersey City, NJ office. This position serves a vital strategic role within the Indirect Sourcing Categories organization.  The Senior Sourcing Specialist will support the Indirect Sourcing by supporting and facilitating complex sourcing projects across various categories. This position will support larger scale projects through background activities such as RFP support, data analysis and other tactical activities. In addition, the Senior Sourcing Specialist/Manager will completely own smaller scale, less complex sourcing projects (comprised of similar tasks to larger scale projects.)

 

The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be most effective and learn most efficiently if they work cross-functionally with TD Ameritrade?s administrative, financial, marketing, procurement, and legal communities.

 

This position will report to a Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing.

 

Key Performance Areas:

1. Procurement Process & Support

?  Assist in negotiating and executing the procurement of specific products and services (i.e. requirements definition, vendor analysis and selection, drafting of simple, RFI, RFQ, and RFP documents, etc).

?  Analyze data (demand/usage) for possible contract negotiation.

?  Assisting in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures and the overall execution of the procurement organization?s goals and objectives

 

2. Contract Management

?  Learn TD Ameritrade?s contracting process and contract positions, including becoming familiar with TD Ameritrade contractual documents.

?  Assist Sourcing Specialist and managers in complex contract negotiations/executions.

?  Own lower complexity contract negotiations/executions.

?  Support Strategic Sourcing?s contract database and database policies

 

3. Customer Service

?  Perform research related to products/services and vendors for internal clients

 

4. Measurement Reporting

?  Support of existing Strategic Sourcing metrics such as proof of savings, projects completed on time, customer surveys, and percentage of spend sourced.

?  Create of reports to help control and improve Strategic Sourcing performance.

 

5. Issue Identification and Resolution

?  Work with internal customers and suppliers to identify, document, analyzing and resolve issues.

?  Assisting Accounts Payable with invoice reconciliation.

?  Work with Contract Database Vendor to fine tune our contracts management instance.

 

 REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

 EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

1.  Bachelor Degree in Business or equivalent.

2.  3-5 years work experience in Procurement or Sourcing field for Indirect Sourcing Categories.

3.  CPM certification preferred.
