The Sr Financial Analyst is responsible for the internal financial reporting and analysis supporting the Global Consumer Group’s North American Operations & Technology organization. As such, the position interfaces across multiple lines of business with senior managers and finance professionals in support of a $30B business.

 

 Key Responsibilities: Responsible for internal financial reporting and analysis supporting  North America Operations and Technology.Coach individual performance and provide feedback tofinance professionals with the intent of driving the desired business results Provide leadership, guidance and motivation to staff Serve as business partner & financial control subject matter expert with Senior Management Oversee the expense forecast & budgeting processes Work with Operations management on the development an analysis of capacity staffing plans Responsible for the timely completion and accuracy of month-end financial processes and financial reporting deliverables Participate in the identification, evaluation and achievement of strategic cost management benefits, key projects and major capital investments Identify current or potential business issues that may impact the cost structure of the functional areas Prepare and lead monthly financial review discussions with Senior Management Ensure appropriate controls are in place to ensure the integrity and availability of all key & relevant reporting data


BA/BS degree (Masters preferred) plus minimum 5-10 years in relevant financial services experience in an analytical capacityMust have 2+ years experience managing teams.Must be able to make effective presentations to senior management to communicate the company's business strategiesMust have intellectual curiosity and a willingness to delve in to a problem and understand the root causeStrong analytical & problem solving skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalMust be able to organize and prioritize independently and meet tight deadlinesStrong knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel and PowerpointKnowledge of the credit card business and influences on losses and risk management a plusEssbase experience preferred
