Primary Role: This position is responsible for developing control and quality systems, managing audit reviews and Sarbanes compliance, managing monthly accounting close processes including journal entry review, general ledger reconciliation and post-close analysis, designing and implementing process improvements and leveraging automation in support of a customer rebate processing environment. Responsibilities include leadership of a team of analysts and accountants and all operational and compliance responsibilities associated with ensuring high degrees of accuracy and timeliness of rebate processes.

Develop business cases to support new investments, set aggressive goals, and develop plans to achieve these goals, and take ownership for the results.
Key Responsibilities-Departmental:
Lead teams consisting of Team Leads, Accountants and Analysts to validate and improve upon processes used to calculate and issue rebate payments to customers
Support process improvements to improve on-boarding and implementation of new and revised contracts and customer agreements to ensure accurate an timely issuance of rebate payments - design procedures and processes for effective and efficient set-up for rebate programs
Ensure customer and company compliance with contractual rebate terms. Confer with Sales and Sales Account Management and participate in creation of rebate methods and programs
Conduct sales and customer meetings to clarify understanding and processes for issuing rebates
Collaborate with SAP and other technology groups to install automated workflow tools between within the rebates organization
Collaborate with other finance teams including Pricing, Generics and Financial Planning to coordinate process enhancements, increase mutual understanding and efficiencies and validate practices and approaches to ensure excellence in process

Qualifications:

Business experience required: This position requires a minimum of 5+ years accounting and finance experience including a minimum 3-4 years managerial experience of small to mid-size financial transaction processing or accounting groups including exempt personnel.
