Sr. Project / Product Manager-San Francisco, CA

The Client Reporting team is responsible for improving the usefulness and quality of account reporting to Schwab clients including regular Statements, Investment Performance reports, and planning tools.  Over 3 million clients receive our reports and statements on a regular basis and our tools are used  by clients to help them achieve their financial goals.  The team focuses on improving our client experience and meeting critical needs such as providing cost basis accounting, integrated performance reporting, and enhanced retirement planning tools to our clients  In additions, the team is responsible for identifying client reporting needs and opportunities, creating compelling business cases in support of new reporting projects and driving their implementation with cross-functional project teams.


The Senior Manager, Client Reporting and Tools, will be responsible for identifying opportunties for enhancing the quality of the client experience with Schwab Reporting and Tools and translating these into compelling business proposals and realistic project plans.  The Senior Manager's role includes effective leadership and management of approved projects that result in high quality results, delivered in a timely basis and within budget.  The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple statement products and implementing major elements of our strategy to offer enhanced reporting and planning tools to all Investment Service clients. This role includes serving as business lead and project manager for product development initiatives and as the primary business owner/liaison providing oversight for production and technical support teams, including ongoing product research, business analysis and partnering with key stakeholders across the organization. Lastly, the Senior Manager ensures that clients enjoy a quality experience with Schwab’s reports and tools while constantly striving to exceed their expectations.

*  Proven ability to play a strong advocacy role for assigned projects and to champion the quality of our reporting solutions
*  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.  Demonstrated proficiency of quickly identifying core issues and proposing practical solutions
*  Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to craft clear and concise presentations as required
*  Requires BA/BS degree (MBA preferred) with 5-8 years of consumer or retail product management, product development and marketing experience, preferrably within  financial services
*  Knowledge of Schwab products, services and support systems is a plus
