Sr. Risk Analyst

Senior Risk Analyst.

 

Basic Purpose/Scope:

 

To assist management in the monitoring of (illiquid) investment strategies of my client.  To coordinate these monitoring activities on an ongoing basis and maintain a relevant knowledge base and proof of control. To integrate new strategies and products into the infrastructure, risk management framework and control processes .  To evaluate the information flows of investment strategies and ensure that proper controls are implemented to promote data quality.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 Monitor risk management framework, guidelines and fund characteristics for investment strategies, managed by my client .Operate as the Subject Matter Expert (Hedge Funds & Strategic Real Estate) within FCR as it pertains to: Contributing to FCR Opinions regarding CIP Proposals Conducting routine and special assessments of Illiquid Strategies Being the coordinator of the Oversight, Management & Control Framework for NHC Coordinate with FCR and Quality Management staff NL on risk guidelines and handbooks Ensure that funds operate according to approved Fund Characteristics and other risk guidelines on an ongoing basis. Evaluate new mandates and ensure that the activities are conducted as outlined in the Risk Management Manual. Run and participate in projects to achieve Company   milestones set by the management. Analyze and interpret information and provide advice to management as requested. Coordinate with the businesses, Information Technology and Operations to ensure that the information flows of the firm are reliable and meet business requirements.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 BA/BS required; MBA and/or a CFA is a plus 5-7 years experience in a related capacity Good understanding of Risk Management and Control Practices Strong knowledge of investment products, particularly investment strategies unique to my client (illiquid investment strategies) Team player who is a self starter, pro-active and motivated to create positive change Process management experience Strong communication and PC skills Superior analytical and problem solving skills
