Description

Integral player in the monthly close process including journal entry (incl. Recurring) preparation/keying and account reconciliations.
Assist the Accouting Manager in variance analysis on a monthly basis.
Assist in the preparation of financial reconciliations and data for use during the annual audit review.
Oversee the A/R function for D&P including proper cash application, recording write-offs and provision tracking. Requires maintaining an organized and thorough document that details the status of all open receivables greater than 180 days.
Teamwork and the willingness to get involved. Incumbent must be flexible enough to contribute to ad hoc reporting/financial analysis as needed.
Accurate and timely account reconciliation to meet Corporate deadlines
Assist in keeping departments within budget for the year


Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in finance or accounting
Basic knowledge of accounting functions and purpose of coding
Knowledge of reconciliations
Lawson PSA experience a plus
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
Strong understanding of technologies used to manipulate and export data from a variety of business systems
Excel experience a must
Experience working in a consulting business
Solid understanding of balance sheet accounting

This position will be housed in NY and will move to Morristown, NJ in the fall of 2006.
