Strategic Design Analyst

Job Description: Performs performance and portfolio analysis on acquired loans utilizing internal data and industry comparative data repositories to assimilate ASC Servicing performance. Will query internal databases to generate the reports needed, however, will also include external sources of data to provide a holistic picture for Business development and Acquisition Operations in Servicing. Additionally, the incumbent will provide trends and external benchmarks for comparison and review. The incumbent will use models and analytics to perform the majority of their tasks. "Modeling" is the use of current and historical data to predict future performance, or demonstrate a potential trend. "Analytics" is the interpretation and presentation of data in a manner that allows others to take action as need be. The business unit leaders then utilize this information to enhance or modify processes, and to communicate standings compared to others in the industry.

Reporting and presentation of studies and concepts related to research of internal and industry performance trends on the mortgage portfolio. Partner with business units to refine research, develop or implement reporting on portfolio performance and profitability trends for individual client portfolios. This reporting and summarization will provide value added services to clients of WFHM and help to ensure and communicate that we are focused on their business and have their interests protected.

Meet and/present regularly with management / peers key portfolio performance metrics that portray various client and profitability and performance scenarios for various sub servicing and servicing purchase deals. This interaction is critical and will assist WFHM to model future deals based on data and information from current and past experiences.

Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work within and meet deadlines without exceptions.
Strong Influencing skills, Technical Skills, and Financial Skills
Strong database analysis and design requiring proficiency using analysis tools such as SAS, Business Objects, Access and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Skills: 5+ years mortgage industry experience
Knowledge of servicing valuation and cash flow projection processes
Experience working with capital markets
Essential skills include ability to communicate at different levels and cross department and have excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills.
4 year college level course of study in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
Working knowledge of Alltel loan servicing system.
