Princeton Retirement Group, an Atlanta-based subsidiary of Merrill Lynch, is looking for a Strategic Planning and Project Manager to join their Relationship Management team!Brief Description:


The Strategic Planning and Project Manager role is designed to support the Relationship Management team in all aspects of the responsibilities to support client facing personnel with an emphasis on coordination of various staff functions, strategic planning, project management, and organizational development.  Significant responsibilities include being accountable for the annual business planning process.  Position has key management responsibility and is a highly visible role in the team?s overall success. Job Responsibilities:


Business Planning

?  Track, monitor, and engage budget related items, communication efforts and other critical initiative as determined.  Make recommendations for planning, monitoring, and controlling ongoing expenses within Relationship Management.  Work with end-users to analyze and interpret special initiatives and technology needs impacting Relationship Management.

?Coordinate the development and facilitation of annual planning cycle as well as the critical few objectives for the team?s Annual scorecard.

?Coordination and management of projects designed to assist the team to run more effective and efficiently.

?Provide cogent analysis of variances to plan and interpretations of business, financial and operational trends.

?Review, analyze, and synthesize business unit reports such as iGate (satisfaction ratings, etc), aging receivables,

Business Reporting

?Streamlining the coordination of accurate and timely status reports, Business Updates, MIS Reporting, reviews and year end reporting and special projects as needed.

?Design and construction of key periodic management reporting that ensures adequate business control

?Design and construction of key periodic management reporting of key business risks ? playing a key role in risk identification, solutions, and implementation of adequate control and mitigation plans

?Responsible for coordinating management content and materials to support various initiatives.

?Gather, compile, and analyze participant and plan sponsor feedback

?Introduce appropriate on-going modifications to the product

?Support client set-up and adoption

?Support CAC and Annual Client Conference needs

?Performs cost benefit analysis and business impact studies.

Project Management

?Manage all aspects of the Relationship Management?s business planning

?Coordinate all aspects of the Relationship Managements deliverables to management including, maintaining appropriate calendars, generating communications and timelines, coordinating presentations, crafting key messages, synthesizing presentations from multiple sources, managing revisions, etc.

?Identify and prioritize projects, ensuring consistency with business objectives and strategic initiatives

?Identify, lead, manage and own projects and initiatives.

?Simultaneously manage multiple projects that are significantly diverse in nature.

?Develop individual departmental report cards to measure and track results

o Financial Budgeting  

o Critical Business Monitoring and Reporting

o Process improvement

o Business requirements

o Strategic development

o Tactical applications

?Effectively communicate project dependencies, timeframes and benefits to various levels of management via multiple channels.

o Interact daily with all levels of management.

o Organizes and leads meetings involving project stakeholders and decision-makers.

o Prioritize tasks and project follow-up items

?Handle miscellaneous Relationship Management deliverables and responsibilities when necessary.



Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required and/or comparable work experience in financial and/or marketing areaExtensive experience in a broad range of financial services preferredExpertise in Financial reporting and expertise in Management reporting designExpertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel required. Excellent analytical skills Expertise in project managementExcellent organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skillsDemonstrated ability to work efficiently with minimal directionAbility to remain flexible and work well in fast-paced work environmentIndependent problem solving and excellent attention to detail Superior oral and written communication skillsSuperior Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate complex information to a wide variety of personnel in a clear, concise and well-organized manner  Ability to manage complex projects working within cross-functional teamsExcellent, professional presentation skills and meeting management skillsTrack record of proactively addressing issues and devising creative and effective solutions.
