Position Description:

Genworth Financial is currently seeking applicants for a Structured Products Development Manager to become part of our Global Capital Markets team. The ideal candidate is well spoken, poised, reliable, responsible, detailed-oriented, and a highly organized individual who is capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

This position will provide project-oriented leadership in deploying complex structured finance solutions across domestic and international mortgage insurance business segments. The successful associate will:

* Manage the implementation of Mortgage Insurance's international structured product development pipeline ensuring industry 'best practices' for operational risk, efficient execution, and regulatory compliance

* Provide business and technical guidance on platform/process development including technology assessments, requirement write-ups, product "go-to-market" planning/strategies, sales readiness, and channel support

* Establish, document, and maintain quality processes for ongoing new product implementation, including project reporting, product performance tracking, and operational metrics

* Lead cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams on numerous global projects. Actively drive the solution discovery process to ensure achievement of planning milestones.

* Analyze potential internal and external partnering relationships for structured products

* Identify areas of improvement or potential savings/revenue generation within the product development lifecycle

* Assist in strategy and business case development to guarantee alignment to divisional objectives

* Build solid collaborative relationships with MI product sales & marketing, IT, operations, risk, finance, as well as other business segment leaders

* Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service

Basic Qualifications:
* Four year degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience

* 5-7 years experience in product development/marketing

* Strong understanding of capital markets with focus on derivatives

* Previous exposure to one or more of the following: front, middle, or back office operations in treasury, banking, or trading floor

* An Understanding of primary and secondary mortgage markets

* Strong project management skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams

* Knowledgeable in technology and IT development processes

* Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse work environment

* Strong communications, customer service, problem solving and negotiation skills

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
* MBA, PMP Certified, or Six-Sigma Black Belt

* Exposure to financial engineering with capabilities in modeling, securities structuring, and quantitative and risk analysis

* Ability to identify and set up processes to mitigate operational risk including Basel II and Sarbanes Oxley compliance

* Understanding of regulatory and rating agency capital requirements

* Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
