PRIMARY FUNCTION


The Supervisor, Collections Technology Services leads a team of Technical Service Representatives and Specialists who are responsible for resolving complex systems issues related to collection hardware and software systems that do not reside on the mainframe. The Technology Supervisor also develops systems and reporting enhancements based on user needs, analyzes operational results and recommends strategy changes to improve operational performance.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Supervises a group of four or more Technical Service Representatives (TSR).

Trains new hires and provides continual training of all TSRs.

Monitors the performance of each team member to ensure maximum effectiveness and adherence to collection laws and procedures as well as company policy.

Provides consistent and worthwhile feedback, including annual performance reviews, to each team member on the quality and quantity of their work. This feedback must be supportive and constructive.

Recognizes strong performance and coaches/counsels poor performance. Terminates team members who consistently perform below expectations.

Inspires teamwork between each team member and with other collections groups.

Maintains accurate team member records including audit results, attendance, and adherence to company policy.

Takes a leadership role in system and software related projects as requested by management.

Researches and resolves complex system issues that are forwarded by TSRs.

Designs system enhancements and reports as requested by the user group, and implements them through TSRs.

Analyzes the effectiveness of the business strategies implemented by the TSRs and recommends changes to continually improve results. This includes calling strategies, vendor performance, etc.
Performs the duties of a TSR as required by staffing levels.
