Supervisor, Trade Communications

The incumbent will supervise the staff of associates responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the financial statements, investment of cash, and the resolution of any issues that arise during the normal Service Delivery Team process.  S/He will verify that the procedures established ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles for the investment accounts as defined by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Department of Labor, the Internal Revenue Service, and other relevant agencies are being followed and are functioning effectively.  S/He will supervise the interaction with internal/external auditors and regulatory agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, etc.  S/He will interact with the client on a daily basis.  S/He will also perform limited functions of the review process of the Service Delivery Representative III/IV.

 

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred or comparable work experience.  S/He should have extensive knowledge of securities (accruals, income/corporate action posting policies, settlement policies, brokerage practices, and security transfer procedures) and trust accounting theories and practices.  S/He should be familiar with PC spreadsheets and on-line systems.  S/He must possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work independently and under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines.  Supervisory, interviewing, organizational, and effective leadership skills are required.  Six to ten years of relevant securities and management experience is also required.
