Reports To: Finance and Accounting Manager

 

Summary

This position performs and supervises all activities necessary to process the company?s salaried payroll,

 

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise, maintain and process payroll using the Ultipro HR/Payroll System (or equivalent) including filing tax and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures and preparing special reports, as required.Maintain the company?s payroll system.Assist in the administration of the company?s defined contribution plans, including processing requests for loans and withdrawals, preparing benefit plan reports, and coordinating benefit plan communications to plan participants. Prepare monthly account reconciliations.Prepare statements related to the company?s non-qualified benefit plans.Prepare the requests for funding payroll, tax payments and deductions with the company?s cash management department.Perform related duties as assigned by management.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes, 2 to 3 people.

 

Required Education/ExperienceAssociate?s Degree or equivalent field of study and 3-5 years equivalent work experience. Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and pdf file conversions.Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential

 

Language SkillsExcellent verbal skills and the ability to ensure adequate communication with employees, retirees and executive staff in a professional, courteous and informative manner.Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals.Ability to write correspondence and other written documents in a clear and concise manner.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, suppliers, customers, and the general public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to accurately calculate figures and percentages. Ability to create formulas to calculate sums, averages, and percentages.

 

Reasoning AbilityAbility to determine how to proceed to handle questions or issues and to determine which individual is the appropriate party to handle such questions or issues.Ability to understand written and verbal instructions and to carry out these instructions appropriately.
