Job Description Senior System Administration for Unix/ Intel.
- Design systems for applications deployment
- Implement deployment for different Unix platforms - Solaris, Aix, Linux and Windows
- Participate on the evaluation of the new technologies
- Install middleware software (MQ series, Websphere, Web etc.), third party software and database
(Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL and UDB)
- Support the existing environment for hardware and software upgrades
- Second and Third level support for Unix platforms
Requirements
- Senior Systems Engineer/Consultant with approx 10 years of hands on experience and technical expertise in the financial services industry.
- Experience supporting large (over 100 Server) Enterprise class servers running Sun Solaris 2.6, 8.0 and 10, IBM AIX 5.2, 5.3 and Linux RedHat 3.0.
- Ability to Install, configure, and support complex multi-node Veritas clusters with Oracle RAC, and setup and support misc storage devices including Fibre channel technology.
- Strong hands on experience managing large volumes of data including Veritas Volume Replicator.
- Ability to Write Unix Shell scripts, analyze system performance and troubleshoot hardware and OS issues.
- Experience working on large scale Oracle database servers, and with Database Administrator groups.
- Maintain environment documentation and provide support as requested
- Working knowledge of Veritas Foundation Suite, Veritas Cluster and Veritas Volume Replicator
