Our client is in need of two Underwriters/ Analyst. One located in Chicago, IL and another in Phoenix, AZ. Both of these positions are newly created. Compensation will commensurate with experience.

 



Primary duties: will manage the due diligence and loan request process for assigned commercial real estate loans that will be sold into Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities pools (CMBS). These loans will be collateralized by first mortgages for properties located within the United States. The Underwriter will complete the due diligence required for loan approval, funding and securitization. Duties include, but are not limited to the analysis of; loan collateral, property economics, loan economics, tenancy, macro and micro market conditions and sponsor/borrowing background review. Additionally, the Underwriter will review and finalize third party due diligence reports and incorporate report conclusions into their loan request recommendation. The Underwriter will coordinate and interact with the NYC sales team, the NYC trading desk, rating agencies, and investors to provide loan and collateral data as necessary to help facilitate the securitization of the loans.

 

The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 5 years of real estate underwriting/analysis experience. In addition, the applicant must have worked on commercial real estate loans. Residential analysts will not be considered. Experience in the CMBS arena is preferred but not required. A college degree is required.
