VICE PRESIDENT, PROJECT MANAGEMENT

LPL is looking for a full time Vice President of Project Management to handle tape-to-tape accounts, positions and financial conversions to our self-clearing platform.  The ideal candidate will report to and work closely with the Executive Vice President of Operations in order to assist with managing strategic and departmental projects including conversions, this includes helping to set goals and objectives, identify and work through issues, interfacing with internal and external contacts, keeping every aspect of the project on track and monitoring processes to completion at a senior level. Responsible for planning and management related to the development, coordination, documentation and review of work associated with tape-to-tape conversion from other clearing firms and all supporting tasks and milestones associated with the conversion.

 

Requires 3-5 years direct experience in the brokerage or financial services industry; understanding of core operational and technology processes and a strong knowledge of the brokerage industry; proven track record in coordinating and implementing a high level of project management experience. Strong oral/written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills, ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external contacts at every level of the organization, can exercise excellent judgment in difficult and challenging situations, and the ability to work independently in a fast paced/high volume environment.  Bachelor?s degree preferred.  Series 7 license required; 24 or additional licenses helpful. Experience in Self-Clearing operations, tape-to-tape conversions and the creation of Memo/Letter of Understanding a must.
