The Equity Strategist/Business Manager will be responsible for advising Financial Advisors (FAs) on implementing ML?s macro research ideas and sector recommendations through equities and equity related products. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovations in new product development to help drive equity use by managing resources & information, writing a weekly newsletter, maintaining a website, maintaining a dialog with the institutional desk, developing equity related derivatives strategies, and working with ML Research to develop equity portfolio baskets.

 

The candidate will be expected to frame a marketing/travel schedule which will require making presentations to Financial Advisors, office managers and private clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in research sales, macro strategy, and/or ETFs. The candidate should have a familiarity will global markets, alternative asset classes like F/X and commodities and a background in portfolio construction and analysis. The candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills. A sensitivity to customer service is essential but familiarity with Financial Advisors is helpful but not essential.Qualifications:


 

5 years experience in the financial markets minimum with Series 7 & 63 licenses. A CFA and/or MBA would be a plus.
