VP- OTC Derivatives

The Middle Office is responsible for the Data Integrity and P&L production for Derivatives Traders. The group was created to develop processes to increase the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of trade capture. The responsibilities of the group have expanded to include production of trade date p&l for the trading desks. The group is the primary point of contact for resolution of trade related queries on the trading desk.



MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Manage a group of 12-15 people that are responsible for the trade capture, validation of trade data and end of day P&L production Installing quality control over the trade details input into the front office systems. Assisting in the implementation of Front Office systems. This will involve specifications, functionality testing, parallel, and possibly conversion. Interact with OTC Operations, Legal and Compliance, Credit Risk Management, Collateral Management and Product Control to resolve queries the trading desk receives. Perform causal analysis on any trade date related issues to determine what procedures and controls can be put into place to avoid the same issue going forward.



QUALIFICATIONS:

6 + years of management experience- 4+ years experience in derivatives, preferably in a Middle Office environment. Experience in Credit Derivatives. Strong knowledge of P&L reporting and explanation. Must be comfortable working in stressful environment.
