Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Appraisor

Brief Description:


This position is responsible for managing vendor relationships with all Credit vendors, including vendor relationships with title companies, appraisals, environmental reviews, flood certificates, land surveys, etc. Works with management to assess vendor needs and strategies. Negotiates pricing with vendors. Responsible for ensuring all changes in vendor status are clearly communicated. Tracking performance of vendor turnaround time and vendor quality performance.  Reports to Director, Business Processes and Practices and is part of the BP&P management team.Job Responsibilities:


? Manages current vendor relationships and develops new relationships as needed

? Ensures compliance with FDIC regulations and real estate policy on transactions secured by real estate.  Works with Documentation, Credit, and Sales to resolve any issues with real estate collateral

? Maintains approved vendor list for all real estate third party vendors (appraisers, environmental, engineering, title, etc.)

? Reviews Risk issues as they relate to appraisals, environmental, engineering, title, etc.

? Reviews and resolves any issues relating to appraisal reports

? Reviews appraisals and environmental reports for possible acceptance as applicable

? Reviews and signs-off on all environmental and engineering reports and resolves any issues with environmental and engineering reports

? Works with other credit team members to develop, train and implement guidelines and policies for documentation and credit personnel decisions on these items

? May also assist in other projects, as assignedQualifications:


? BS/BA degree in business required with background in environmental, appraisal, title or related field preferred; master?s degree preferred. 

? Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a bank, finance company, or accounting firm environment

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? Self motivated, with a history of meeting or exceeding goals

? Excellent organization and project management skills

? Excellent interpersonal skills

? Team player; skilled at working with cross-functional teams

? Detail-oriented

? Strong PowerPoint and Intranet skills required; good overall PC skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
