Vice President, Financial Advisor (Business Development and Relationship Management)

Our client is a premier private client investment management firm and a division of one of the world?s largest investment management organizations. The firm?s Houston office seeks a highly flexible individual who excels in both business development and relationship management. The Vice President, Financial Advisor position requires an exceptionally motivated and passionate individual who is driven to be successful and who is accustomed to a high level of daily sales activity. This individual must be capable of networking and developing relationships from scratch with attorneys, accountants, trust and estate executives, insurance professionals or others who can introduce him or her to high net worth individuals who have the potential to become clients of the firm. Once these individuals become clients, the Vice President, Financial Advisor is responsible for helping them devise investment programs appropriate to their financial situations. Actual investment decisions are made by the firm?s investment policy group. The ideal candidate will be experienced in sales with a proven track record selling and managing large sophisticated clients; ambitious, self-motivated, and highly entrepreneurial; ethical; charismatic and successful at relating to different types of people; articulate and able to explain with confidence financial products, services and concepts. This individual will participate in a three-month, New York-based training program with the firm?s senior executives that focuses on learning the firm?s history, including its marketing activities, services and methodology. A financial stripe is preferable (M.B.A. or finance related background), but not necessary.
