Vice President of Loan Services

The VP of Loan Services is responsible for managing the daily operational aspects of the Company including, origination, servicing, customer service, and school-based relationship management.


Provides leadership in the creation of an overall loan processing platform and strategy.
Oversees the daily management of loan servicing and administration including third party servicer performance, contract management and compliance.
Participates in developing, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures for the loan origination and servicing functions.
Builds and implements new business processes and reviews existing processes/metrics to determine improvement opportunities.
Ensures operational efficiency by working interactively with and independently of Information Services (IS) in identifying potential software solutions and enhancements necessary for Loan Origination and Servicing to achieve their business goals.
Leads the creation and implementation of reporting and analytics processing for operations.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Develops and manages operating and capital budget expenditures, business plans, and staffing requirements for the operational departments.

Qualifications:
? 10 - 15 years of student loan and/or consumer finance experience.
? Direct management experience leading several servicing functions and establishing and leading high-performing work teams.
? Understanding of consumer or student loan transactions from origination through disbursement.
? Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience. Graduate degree is highly desired.
? Has a strong understanding of current consumer lending technology and trends.
? Can effectively communicate with outside investors, rating agencies and other third parties.
? Is able to develop performance metrics and can apply them to the servicing environment and monitor the trends.
? Is a strategic thinker and understands the full scope of the student loan business.
