Requirements:

In this position, you will be responsible for the full-spectrum lending activity within the Region and training/managing credit associates to ensure prudent credit decisions and effective maintenance of dealer relationships. You will work with the Corporate Matrix Manager to ensure compliance of all state/federal regulations and to define/enforce all Wachovia Financial Services (WFS) Core Auto Lending practices, policies and procedures. You will analyze information received from credit applications and credit reporting agencies to make prudent credit decisions; negotiate terms and conditions of credit decisions with dealers; leverage risk versus reward to ensure credit quality/profitability; and concur on loan decisions recommended by Credit Analysts and Senior Credit Analysts with lesser credit authority. In addition, you will regularly communicate and cooperate with all departments in the Region to resolve issues and promote best practices within WFS, associated vendors and national account relationships. You will also complete, analyze and document regularly scheduled audits to evaluate associate performance and to provide coaching/counseling to associates in areas of improvement. Other duties include, but are not limited to: establishing, monitoring and promoting weekly funding goals for Credit Analysts and Senior Credit Analysts; and preparing/presenting information for regularly scheduled department meetings to educate and motivate credit associates.

Must be service-oriented and possess exceptional written/verbal communication skills. Exceptional track record of successfully negotiating business transactions with associated vendors is required. Beginning skill level of computer usage to utilize credit-processing system and to receive/transmit written communications with internal/external contacts is necessary. Excellent computer skills to design and/or program spreadsheets, databases or custom reports for use by associates and/or managers are a must.
