:: Description:
Strategic Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for handling strategic negotiations for Information Technology.

:: Responsibilities:
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, successfully interfacing with internal customers. Possess excellent negotiation skills, evidenced by significant deliverables (cost savings, risk mitigation, supply base consolidation) resulting from completed negotiations.

:: Required Skills/Experience:
- The successful candidate MUST have extensive experience negotiating and procuring IT hardware and software. Extensive experience with complex contract negotiations and supplier management. Extensive experience and knowledge in supplier management specific to IT, with broad based understanding of the market.
- Exceptional negotiation experience, knowledge of standard procurement practices, knowledge of contracts, diplomacy, and ability to lead cross-functional project teams
- Utilizes definable techniques to identify, select, and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage. Directs and implements supplier-sourcing strategies to ensure high quality and cost competitiveness
- Ability to influence cross-functional organizations while enhancing strong internal relationships in order to meet business requirements and cost objectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self starter and takes initiative
- Able to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult contract negotiations, tight deadlines and client expectations
- BA/BS degree plus 2-5 years experience in Information Technology and/or Purchasing
