Assistant Director of Administration

The Dallas Central Appraisal District has an opening for the Assistant Director of Administration.  This position will report to Director of Administration and will be responsible for the management and operation of the Districts' Customer Service Division, Appeals and Support Division, as well as the Facility Maintenance Staff. These divisions include approximately 26 direct and indirect reports.

 

This is a ?hands on? position and requires the ability to: manage multiple tasks and priorities; research, design, produce, and implement programs on time and on budget; conduct effective public presentations; manage and lead a diverse workforce; work independently as well as be an effective team member. 

 

 

The successful candidate must have previous  management experience. Candidate must also have experience in accounting  or working with budgets, excellent public speaking/writing skills and the ability to create financial reports in Excel.  A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.  Starting salary range is from $75,000 to $78,000 per year dependent upon qualifications.  No relocation or interview expenses are available.  Local (DFW Metro area) candidates are strongly preferred.

 

In addition to a competitive salary, the District offers a comprehensive benefits package including a substantial retirement program, paid employee medical, dental, life, and disability benefits.  This position has the option of working a four-day compressed work week most of the year, however must be able to work a regular five-day week plus weekends as required.  This individual is subject to being ?on call? during non-work hours.
