Contract Administrator

Job Description:



Position Summary: Contract Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of contract administration from cradle to grave, including proposal efforts, day to day administration and closeouts. Contract Administrator (CA) will also interact with manager(s) on a daily, or as needed basis, working with Program Control for financial management of contracts. Efforts will include all types of contracts and GSA Schedule task orders.



Job Function: Candidate must have (8 to 12 years) experience or equivalent in review of RFP's, preparation of cost proposals, including but not limited to cost strategy development; basis of estimate; pricing; subcontract/consultant RFQ's and negotiations of final submittals. Knowledge of commercial and international practices is helpful. Must also have comprehensive experience in contract administration; negotiation of contracts and closeouts. Experience drafting and negotiating subcontracts including price/cost analysis; sole source justifications and proposals.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards is mandatory. Also must possess excellent writing skills and ability to deal with high level management. Must possess ability to prioritize task and to multi-task. Knowledge of MS Excel spreadsheets is a must. Knowledge of Cost Point is important.



Education: A BS/BA is required.



Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
