Executive Assistant to the British Consul

The British Consulate in Denver, Colorado is seeking a highly motivated full time Executive Assistant to start work in early September. The position covers a wide variety of duties and requires someone who is comfortable dealing with the public.  Applicants must have first class organisational and communications skills, and a courteous telephone manner. They should be able to work on their own initiative and work well within a small team environment. Computer skills and previous experience of Windows XP are required.

 

The main duties of this position are to provide support to the Consul, including diary management and programme arranging, and to assist the Consul in his day to day activity, for example by carrying out research and arranging the programmes of incoming visitors. This position is also the first point of contact for passport and visa enquiries, notarial work and other consular matters, for other enquiries from members of the public and for providing general administrative support.
