ROLE/PURPOSE

The Federal Consulting Solutions Architect is responsible for qualifying, scoping, and delivering Autodesk Consulting solutions for Federal Government customers. This senior technical consulting role combines responsibilities of business development, pre-sales, and project delivery responsibilities on consulting engagements.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Federal Consulting Solutions Architect will be responsible to support the sale and delivery of Autodesk Consulting-led solutions for Federal Government customers. This will entail the following specific duties: Work with the Federal Sales team and Autodesk Consulting Solutions Executive to support customer-facing business development and sales activities to articulate the value proposition for Autodesk products and services directly to Federal Government customers in defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies Work with the Autodesk Consulting Solutions Executive to recommend solution delivery approaches and prepare detailed scopes of work, including estimates and staffing requirements Author portions of Autodesk Consulting proposals and statements of work as required Provide technical leadership in geospatial, modeling and simulation, building information modeling, design, and other Autodesk technologies as required on consulting engagements for Federal Government customers Assist in build-out and adaptation of Autodesk Consulting purpose-built solutions to suit Federal Government customers Present technical solutions at trade shows and events


CRITICAL COMPETENCIES/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 8+ years working with at least two of the following technologies: advanced geospatial modeling, modeling/simulation technologies, building information modeling, or computer-aided design Prior consulting experience working with Federal Government customers and experience working in a multi-vendor environment Knowledge of current and planned programs in Federal Government defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies strongly desired Knowledge of Autodesk (or competitive) geospatial, modeling/simulation, design, and building information products strongly desired Ability to build relationships with Autodesk technologists across multiple divisions Past experience in integrating multiple visualization data types and exploiting 3D data to solve operational problems Knowledge of Federal Government workflows and ability to formulate solutions from various Autodesk product lines and 3rd-party vendors Demonstrated ability to lead project teams comprising 5-10 technical consultants Excellent written and oral communications skills with ability to clearly present technical solutions to large audiences Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced unstructured, entrepreneurial "start-up" environment, requiring superior critical thinking and influencing skills Expert knowledge of documentation tools (MS Office suite) Ability to travel 25-50% of time depending on assigned projects and project requirements Technical degree in Engineering or Computer Science US Citizenship and current security clearances required (Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly desired, Secret required)
