Sr. Instructional Designer

Instructional design for government (DOD) scenario-based e-learning (WBT Design) to meet SCORM conformance requirements.  Transform complex/technical information into professional, effective adult learning.  Understand and apply authoritative, current research relative to adult learning theory and principles of online learning during the timly completion of projects.  Lead the development of instructional designers. Accurately estimate labor requirements to complete instructional design components of projects. Develop processes and standards for completion of instructional design projects. Interact with customers to explain rationale for design approach and decisions. Must have excellent research, writing, editing, and scripting skills and the ability to clearly communicate design concepts and instructions to programmers and graphic artists in a team environment.

Requires MA/MS in Education, Instructional Technology, Training and Development, Instructional Design, or a related field along with exceptional oral and written communication skills. PhD in Training or Instructional Design is desired. Minimum of 3-5 years in multimedia instructional design, familiarity with the capabilities of Flash, and Dreamweaver, a plus.  The Senior Instructional Designer must have the ability to lead completion of interactive multimedia projects, perform against project timelines, develop other instructional designers, and establish work standards and processes.  The proven capability to interact tactfully and positively with customers in for-profit, time-sensitive project situations is a credential that will place a candidate high on the list for consideration.
