Pine Creek Medical Center, a new 18-bed acute care hospital in Dallas is searching for a Full-Time Admitting Clerk.The mission of Pine Creek Medical Center is to deliver the finest quality care with compassion and kindness while providing for the personalized needs of our patients and families.  Pine Creek Medical Center specializes in Orthopedic, Spine and Bariatric Surgery.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

? Sets priorities and organizes work.

? Assist with answering multi line phone system.

? Relieves receptionist as needed.

? Conducts pre-admission patient interviews to obtain information, provide pre-op instructions and benefit information.

? Assists patient with financial arrangements when necessary.

? Review all demographic information for accuracy and completeness.

? Enter all demographic information accurately in the Admitting application.

? Verify insurance benefits timely to ensure compliance with the Center?s policies and procedures. 

? Determines pre-certification requirements and resolves any issues with physicians? offices.

? Accurately uses procedure codes to ensure proper insurance verification and billing.

? Prepare medical record(s) prior to treatment.

? Check in patient(s) ensuring all patient consent forms are complete, reviewed with the patient and signed by the patient, collect unmet co-pay?s and deductibles and/or make financial arrangement.

? Accepts and post payments and is responsible for the security and accurate accounting of payments received. 

? Submit daily receipts to the Business Office.

? Prepare and print daily schedules.

? Perform other duties as assigned.

 

   

Required:

** Must have at least 1 year of Hospital and/or Surgery Center admitting experience

**  High School Diploma or equivalent

**  Meditech 

**Bi-lingual a plus
