   JOB DUTIES:

 

? Responsible for analyzing and acting from pre-bill worksheets for respective plans, reviewing and correcting errors before daily submission.

? Reviews billing reports, confirmations, and tracks daily claims activity.

? Analyzes, works, and appeals denials from EOB?s and correspondence daily. Flags accounts appropriately.

? Initiates and works up refund requests for overpayments.

? Responsible for knowing and following assigned plans? guidelines, pre-certification requirements and procedures for filing and appealing claims.

? Responsible for the generation and distribution of pre-bills of assigned plan(s), electronic filing, paper filing, and confirmations on a ?as needed? basis. 

 

 REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

 

?  Minimum two years? experience in a medical/billing office setting with a strong knowledge of insurance, managed care, Medicare and Medicaid.

?  Excellent organizational skills and ability to do detailed multi-tasks

?  Related computer experience, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, NextGen experience preferred.

?  Ability to deal effectively and professionally with outside vendors and insurance representatives.

?  Working knowledge of office equipment.
