Admissions Representative

Cirrus Health is a dynamic, growing health organization looking for an Admissions Representative for our Spring Creek Surgery Center in Tomball, TX.

Job Duties:Ensures the accuracy of patient information, obtains all necessary forms and upfront payments, and guides the patient through the admissions process. Reviews and corrects patient demographic and insurance information.  Obtains copies of patient?s insurance cards and identification card.  Ensures that patient completes and signs admissions face sheet, and all necessary documents, including Disclosure and Consent forms, Patient Rights and Responsibilities form, etc.  Reviews insurance information to verify the correct coordination of benefits, explains financial responsibility to patients, and collects any required co-payments, coinsurance, and/or deductibles.  Files required forms in the patient?s medical record.  Provides patient with an identification arm band and assists patient with any questions or concerns.  Assists in maintaining and updating admission forms. Assists with processing of mail, correspondence, and cash receipts.  Participates in compliance programs such as HIPAA, safety training etc.  Participates in loss prevention by protecting company property and maintaining a safe environment.  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

High School graduate with 2 years of Hospital or Surgery Center patient admitting experience.  Applicants must have Great Customer Services skills, analytical and organizational skills, effective communication skills, and problem solving abilities.  Typing 40 wpm, strong data entry and computer skills, proper telephone etiquette, and the ability to work well with others.  Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and finger dexterity.
