We are seeking motivated, skilled candidates for full-time medical AR Department Management positions and for Independent Consulting/Contracting work in medical billing.

 

MOC (MarinEyes) is a large, well-established practice with a technically advanced billing department. You will learn our new Cutting-Edge Practice Management Software and Electronic Medical Records Internet Database while employed at MOC. You will also receive support from managers and have excellent opportunities for advancement and compensation increases based on performance.

 

Permanent employees (not Independant Contractors) will be offered Health, Vision and Dental benefits after 90 days, and a 401K option.

Job Description



 

Responsibilities will include:

 

?  The timely posting of charges to accounts

?  Processing insurance claims

?  Printing and mailing patient statements

?  Answering insurance and patient billing inquires by phone, mail, and in person

?  Posting insurance and patient payments

?  Assisting with appealing insurance claim/contract issues

?  Credentialing

?  Reporting and Analysis

?  Contracting

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Required

?  5-plus years of successful billing experience in a medical practice

?  Advanced understanding of computers and practice management software.

?  Ability to manage difficult patient billing situations, respond to patient needs, and meet commitments

?  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

?  The ability to multi-task, and a passion for learning new applications

?  A collaborative and coordinated working style

 

Preferred: 

 

?  AA or BA/BS degree

?  Ophthalmic billing experience
