BTS Specialist

We have an exciting Career Opportunity!  We have added a BTS Specialist position in our Business and Technical Services department at our Corporate Headquarters in Kingston, NY.  The BTS Specialist assists the Manager in the overall configuration and implementation of facility and professional payment methodologies within the Amysis system.  A working knowledge of the Amysis system is REQUIRED for this position.

 

Responsibilities for this position include reviewing all user related programs prior to implementation and making recommendations for design modifications and better system efficiency as it relates to facility and professional rate loads, assisting in the preparation of the timely reporting and accuracy of all unit inventory reports and compiling, developing and maintaining documentation supporting the creation of nomenclature allowances for all levels of GHI HMO coverage.  The BTS Specialist will investigate and work on resolving any inquiries arising from file discrepancies, producing developmental status and inventory reports and providing research and special project support and analyzing new products and/or new requirements filed with the State.

 

The qualifications required:Bachelors Degree in Business or equivalent work experience5 yrs experience in a claims system support environment2-3 yrs experience in system testingThorough knowledge of all reimbursement methodologies, Medicare guidelines, Medicaid rules and other Government Programs, along with medical terminology, diagnosis structure, CPT-4, UB92, CMS and ICD-9 coding methodologiesThorough and working knowledge with Amysis is a MUST!Strong written, verbal and organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines and a knowledge of MS Word and Excel also required
