Biller/Coder

Cirrus Health is a dynamic, growing health organization looking for an experience Biller/Coder for our Central Billing Office in Richardson, TX.

Job Duties:

Responsible to maximize accounts receivable by submitting accurate claims according to commercial payors, medicare and regulatory agency guidelines.  Properly coding Surgical procedures according to Operative notes using CPT, ICD-9 and DRG codes and submitting the appropriate bill using UB-92's and HCFA forms.  Performs follow-up functions necessary to provide an accurate patient account system and provides business office support to foster a team environment focused on Superior Patient Care.

 

Requirements:

High School graduate or equivalent, CPC or CCS certified and 2 years billing/coding surgical procedures in a Hospital, Surgery Center or Out-Patient facility required.  Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patients? rights and medical-legal aspect of information release.  Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS Level II and ICD-9 coding principles and UB-92 and 1500 billing forms.  Ability to analyze medical reports and EOB?s. Typing 40 wpm and basic computer skills.  Thorough knowledge of healthcare insurance contracts including Medicare/Medicaid, in-network, out-of-network, managed care and worker's comp.  Proper telephone etiquette, and the ability to work well with others.
