Charge and Coding Specialist

In this role you?ll translate diagnostic and procedural phrases utilized by healthcare providers into coded form, perform accurate ICD-9, CPT & HCPCS coding, give price quotes to patients and referring physicians, ensure that charges are accurately posted to patient accounts in a timely manner, answer internal & external questions regarding billing and/or coding, follow up and correct denied claims due to CPT or ICD9 coding problems, and keep abreast of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements.

 

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of Microsoft Office experience; successfully completed an approved coding certificate program or equivalent experience; 1-3 years coding experience in health care setting; Radiology coding a plus.
