Coding Support Specialist

Evanston Northwestern Healthcare is looking for a Coding Support Specialist to join the ENH Medical Group.  This position is located at our largest Medical Group facility in Skokie, approximately a 30 minute drive from downtown Chicago and is easily accessible by public transportation.

 

The Coding Support Specialist will provide expertise on encounter form analysis, coding and charge entry for multiple physician practices.

 

Responsibilities include:

 Improving the timeliness and accuracy of charge entryAssisting physicians with the assignment of ICD-9, CPT and HCPCS codesDetermining if service, procedure and diagnosis codes are accurately identifiedServing as a coding resource for other charge entry staff, physicians, and clinical and administrative staffCollaborating with the Coding Compliance Department, Practice Managers, and the Professional Billing Office to help resolve coding-related billing errors and issues

 

Qualified candidates will possess:

 High school diplomaCCS, CCS-P, CPC or RHIT certification3 to 5 years of outpatient coding and billing experience, with experience in a multi-specialty physician group preferredAbility to analyze and interpret medical documents and apply coding and/or local medical policy guidelines and regulations
