Collections Specialist

 

 



General Job Summary: 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to working with payors, both orally and telephonically, ensuring claims are paid in a timely manner as well as solicits business to business payment on overdue accounts.  Candidate must be familiar with HCFA 1500, DWC ? 10 requirements and thoroughly understand workers compensation guidelines.  Candidate must have strong computer skills as well as have excellent communication skills.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

?  Working with payors orally and telephonically to ensure claims are paid in a timely manner.

?  Soliciting business to business payments on overdue accounts.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:  

 







?  Familiarity with HCFA 1500 and DWC-10 requirements

?  Thoroughly understand workers compensation guidelines

?  Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in collections

?  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word and Excel) and Internet

?  Very strong communications skills
