Database Coordinator

UPMC Health Plan is currently seeing a Database Coordinator

Duties include designing and maintaining databases, reports, auditing tools and related documentation, maintaining or exceeding designated quality and production goals and devising sampling methodology and retrieving audit samples form appropriate sources.

A bachelor's degree in a job related field or equivalent education and experience is required. At least five years of claims processing, health insurance or health care reporting experience is preferred. The following are required for the position: the ability to maintain designated production standards for multiple projects and tasks, knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding, HMO, POS and PPO plans as well as coordination of benefits, subrogation, Medicare and Medicaid, excellent oral, written and communication skills, advanced proficiency with MS Office Products the ability to utilize a corporate data warehouse to design and compile reports, an understanding of data structures and reporting tools and the ability to create and maintain databases of significant size and complexity. The following are preferred skills of the position, quality auditing experience, experience with Oracle and/or SQL, and Visio experience.
