Director of Revenue Cycle Management

Title: Director of Revenue Cycle Management

 

Department: Revenue Cycle Management

 

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

 

Summary: Provide quantitative revenue cycle analysis to support management decision-making around a variety of financial and operational issues. Directly manage multiple departments within the company and insure interdepartmental processing integrity. Coordinate and manage key revenue cycle functions. Support the corporate office in achieving corporate goals and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:Develop the revenue cycle management of the company to further minimize denials and appeals while optimizing performance and cash collections and reducing days in accounts receivable.Manage the payment variance analysis and recovery team to assure managed care claims are paid appropriately and cash collections are optimized.Oversee the Payment Posting and Refunds department to assure proper and timely processing of incoming payments, denials, and refunds.Personnel management to include:Defining department goals and expectations;Continuous review of productivity and tracking to goals;Timely feedback on performance reviews as required;Handling disciplinary issues as required; Mentoring new department leads and supervisors; training.

 

Required Education and Experience:

 Bachelor's degree in accounting or business;Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare financial management in a professional billing or other health care environment, plus at least 5 years in a management roll;Extensive experience managing high volume Accounts Receivable as it relates to physician billing (Emergency Department Physician billing preferred);In-depth knowledge of third party payer billing requirements, reimbursement practices, and regulatory guidelines;Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial performance data, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
