EDI Business Analyst

ACS, a Fortune 500 Company and leading provider of Business Process Outsourcing and Information Technology Outsourcing Solutions, is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following requirements:



Description:



An intermediate-level professional, the Systems Consulting Analyst is a fully qualified individual producer who applies a broad knowledge of systems analysis concepts, practices and procedures. Incumbents are competent to work on fairly complex assignments (and/or portions of more large, complex systems) and perform a full range of system analysis activities. The incumbent generally works under deadlines and is capable of handling heavy workloads, operating with only general supervision, although errors at this level can cause delay, expense and/or disruption. Provides functional and technical expertise to formulate computer system scope and objectives, devises or modifies procedures to solve problems using information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are written, and the functional design, against which computer programs can be coded, tested, debugged and documented. Assignments are in technical, scientific and business functional areas.

1. Research, respond and resolve technical issues escalated by the EDI call center.
2. Review reports, including TA and resolve issues and reject reports, and resolve issues.
3. Write CSR (Customer Service Requests) and defect reports.
4. Supervise, assist, direct and mentor call center staff in resolving call issues.
5. Report to provider relations manager on team accomplishments, achievements, productivity and issues.
6. Keep apprised of developments in field of expertise to ensure currency and make recommendations to management to improve efficiency/effectiveness.
7. Test and quality assure propriety software.
8. Utilize software research tools.
9. Prepare weekly reports and meeting agendas.
10. Update and maintain state specific companion guides.
11. Enforce HIPAA regulations.
12. Work with staff to educate and enroll providers in EDI.
13. Assist providers with testing and troubleshooting claims and transmission problems.
14. Create EDI presentations and outreach material.

 

Education and Typical Years of Experience 

1. BS/BA degree, preferably in technical applications.

2. Minimum of six months experience in customer service environment or equivalent.

3. Analytical skills and creative aptitude for problem solving.

4. Knowledge of communication methods for troubleshooting submission issues.

5. Ability to create, modify and interpret crosswalks (mapping specifications).

6. Ability to interact with all types of people.

7. Excellent verbal and written, organizational and communication skills.

8. Willing to work hours necessary to successfully accomplish assigned tasks.

9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production oriented environment and be able to handle stress.

10. Excellent attendance/reliability.

11. Above average computer skills.

12. Maturity of judgment under pressure/ability to diagnose level of user need and to escalate problems without delay to appropriate levels for resolution.

13. Commitment to quality.

14. Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules, including on-call, evenings.
