Financial Services Project Manager, Managed Care

Function:

Responsible for planning, direction and oversight of the managed care financial analysis function. This position will oversee the modeling and impact analysis of proposed rate structures. This position will also facilitate communication and programmatic coordination with all departments, programs, and interested parties involved in contracting, implementation and billing of managed care contracts.

Scope:
Identify issues impacting the financial performance of managed care contracts, communicate findings to the appropriate individuals, and follow up on resolution. Position has high exposure throughout the organization to all levels of management and administration.

Requires extensive knowledge of cost accounting system, general ledger, managed care information systems, data management skills, analytical and planning skills, good judgment, independent decision making abilities, very strong interpersonal and communications skills, excellent supervisory skills, and the ability to function under pressure due to time constraints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Direct oversight of Financial Reporting Analysts and Senior Financial Reporting Analysts in their performance of managed care analysis.

Establish appropriate mechanisms and goals to monitor project time lines and reporting to appropriate parties. Assess achievement of agreed upon project goals and communicate results. Make modifications to program plans, as necessary to achieve desired goals.

Interact as required with managed care companies in contract negotiations and data reconciliation.

Supervise, plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the work product of other staff members.

Education:

Required: Bachelors Degree in business Administration, Accounting, or related field.

Preferred: Masters in Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or CPA.

Experience:

Required: Eight years of relevant experience in financial analysis with a hospital, accounting/consulting firm or other related industry.

Preferred: Project management experience.
