Dept: Interpreter Services
Conducts medical & general interpreting for Medical Center staff, patients & their families. Assesses & monitors patients'understanding of information conveyed. Records & monitors interpretation activities according to hospital & department standards.

Additional Information

Position Type: Full-Time
Education/Special Skills Required: Must have proven verbal & written fluency in Spanish language as well as in English, including fluency in medical terminology. Must have two or more years of experience providing interpretation services in a health care setting, including experience with related documentation. Must be familiar with healthcare delivery issues & setting. **Must have successful completion of a 40-hour minimum accredited medical interpreting course.
