The proposed merger with Golden West Financial Corporation (NYSE: GDW), parent of World Savings Bank, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2006, pending shareholder and regulatory approval. With this proposed merger, Wachovia would strengthen its position in California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey and New York, and enter attractive metropolitan areas in five additional states: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas and Nevada. The combined company would serve banking customers through 3,400 offices in 21 states and Washington, D.C. In addition, Wachovia would gain mortgage lending operations under the World Savings Bank name in 39 states.

Requirements:

In this position, you will be responsible for funding auto contracts in accordance with all state and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures while maintaining the highest level of service to internal and external customers. You will review approved applications and contracts to ensure stipulations and conditions have been met and are in adherence with company policy; ensure appropriate signatures have been obtained and correct data input errors and omissions; match incoming contract documents to approved applications and enter data into the Credit Revue system; analyze various pay stubs and tax returns to determine satisfaction of income verification stipulations interact professionally with dealers; customers and other vendors to obtain missing or invalid information and documentation; and obtain and review documentation for accuracy, authenticity and fraud. You will also communicate suspected fraud and or discrepancies to the Operations Manager, obtain employment and insurance verifications, provide assistance to internal and external customers regarding loan documentation and processing and generate customer correspondence relating to the initiation of the loan in accordance with corporate guidelines. In addition, you will respond to dealer problems and inquiries and answer and route department telephone calls.

A high school diploma as well as two plus years? applicable experience are required. You must be a team player with strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving and time management skills and be able to work productively under minimal supervision. You must be detail oriented with a general knowledge of using a computer and the ability to interpret or extract information quickly, while maintaining quality.
